A Brief Intro to Avira Antivirus:
Avira is a German security software company, founded in 2006 but
initially in 1986, that has been developing antivirus technologies.
Avira is very popular in the free antivirus category. Avira products from
the 2013 version up until now have had heuristic technology to analyse and
investigate malware codes. Avira's firewall was replaced by a Windows
firewall in 2014.
The Avira Protection Cloud function is used to improve detection by using
information available through cloud computing. Avira offers their
antivirus engine to some IT partners. In 2020, the Avira founder sold his
company to Investcorp Group, and later that year, Norton LifeLock acquired
Avira.
Even BullGuard joined in on Avira.

Second: Setup or Configuration of Avira
- There is no need to set up or configure the software in the same way that we did with the Mobile Security Software.We just install and forget.
- We just need to add a browser extension [Avira Safety Advisor].
Third: GUI (Graphical User Interface).
- It's easy to use, but if you tend to configure any things, there is little to do so. Even the settings feel outdated. I don't like how Avira configures settings.
Fourth: Scan [Quick, Full]
- A quick scan takes less than 1 minute in battery mode and 1 minute when plugged in.
- A full scan takes about 30 minutes in battery mode and 28 minutes when plugged in.

There is no impact [there are no problems].
- A quick scan has no effect, but better yet, run a full scan while the computer is idle because it consumes more CPU and RAM resources. It can impact your system's performance.

- There is no impact on apps. I have not faced any issues with Windows. No impact on browsing.

- It has web protection against malware, dangerous websites, phishing scams, and malicious scripts on infected websites.

CONS:
- Antivirus protection should improve and should compete with others.
- According to AV-Test and AV-Comparatives, the overall protection score is lower than all antivirus products.
- Avira configuration settings are outdated and not well designed.
- Avira uses the Windows Firewall, which they should have developed themselves.
- While using Avira System Speedup Pro, use the power cleaner and some other tools carefully. It may delete unsaved data in some apps (you can customise it).
- Avira has too many unnecessary tools. They should have separated other tools and Avira System Speedup Pro from Avira Antivirus.
NOTE: Every antivirus has some issues.
