Kaspersky 2022 Antivirus Review:
A Brief Intro to Kaspersky Antivirus:
Kaspersky is a Russian cyber security company founded in 1997, but they developed the first antivirus in 1989. In 1998, they detected the CIH virus, which made them the first to remove the virus. They got some recognition after detecting the Chi virus, and some antivirus companies implemented their AVP (now Kaspersky) into their products.
They expanded to many countries and also saw their revenue go up due to their best antivirus products. They increased their reach through local resellers. Kaspersky is well known for its best malware protection. They provide their antivirus engine to some security vendors and also license their technology to some companies.
They also got good ratings for protection from well-known labs and manufacturers. Kaspersky is well known for the sophisticated viruses it discovers targeting governments, banks, oil, nuclear, and military facilities. From 2015 to 2017, the US government believed that Kaspersky had links with Kaspersky and banned Kaspersky from government systems.
Today, the US government added Kaspersky to the FCC blacklist.

CONS:
  • In newer versions, like basic, standard, and plus versions, I feel like the settings UI is over-designed and has a lot to improve in stability and bugs.
  • Some users may feel some privacy concerns about using Kaspersky due to its Russian presence.
NOTE:
  • Some web developers could face some issues in browsers because of Kaspersky Web Protection, which is a browser add-on extension that injects scripts into browsers.
  • To disable the inject script [Settings-Network Settings-Traffic Processing-unchecked inject script]
  • If you face any issues, disable the Inject script, browser add-on, and Anti-banner.
